Therapy in a Nutshell
I think a common misconception is that therapy is an expensive friend that you can tell more things to because they have to keep your secrets.
Here’s the deal: Therapy can uniquely build bridges to help you understand how your brain influences your behavior and to equip you with insight and tools to live your life with intention and resilience.
Our brains are constantly adapting to what we go through without our awareness.
As we go through life, our brain learns rules and beliefs to live by to keep ourselves safe and get our needs met. These adaptations that helped us survive a lot of shit can often come back to bite us in the ass.
Therapy is about learning why we do what we do and see things the way we see things. As we become aware of how we are holding ourselves back, we look for possibilities for change and growth that will lead us to more fulfilling lives. In therapy we also practice understanding and connecting to our feelings, and evaluate the lens through which we are filtering them.
Most of us have a lot of shit that has been shoved down, avoided, misunderstood, or trapped us. All feelings are important (oh, hey biology). This process is how we can gain the ability to live a deeply connected, grounded, and body-based life.

Hi, I’m Beth.
In therapy with me, there will be a lot of laughing, crying, swearing (on my part at least), and lots and lots of learning. I TREASURE my relationships with my clients, and ensuring they feel closer to their goals with each session is my top priority.
I have a husband and two kids. I like coffee shops, vacations, laying by pools, eating delicious food, and long walks on the beach (jk… but seriously, long walks on the beach are fantastic).

Pricing
Sessions are $140/50 minute session.
I don't directly work with insurance companies, but I do accept HSA cards and many of my clients are reimbursed by their plans each month by submitting a super bill that I am happy to provide. Definitely worth a call to see about your plan/benefits!
A portion of my practice is reserved for sliding scale and pro bono work. If you are struggling financially please ask about this option.
